PROGRAM 14/7
On July 14, 2016, in Nice, children and their families were attacked en masse by the organization "EI". This is the second time in our country that children have been victims of this organization after the attack on the Ozar Hotarah school in March 2012 in Toulouse where four children were killed at "point-blank range". In Nice, 86 deaths including 10 children, the youngest being 4 years old, were recorded. A number of children, still difficult to evaluate exactly but greater than 100, were mourned. Here is the research currently underway on this subject: The central study "14-7 Child Psychiatry and Epidemiology" is an imperative in terms of research and public health missions. The cohort of children impacted by the attack in Nice represents to date, in Europe, the largest cohort of children involved following a mass murder. Its future, knowledge of impact factors and therapeutic actions represents a major challenge. This concerted approach reflects a collaborative and transdisciplinary work of researchers in medicine, public health, neuroscience and human sciences who contribute to this very ambitious study with a common objective.
